Paralegal - Civil Litigation
Friendly and confident, Jack is a great communicator who puts people at ease whenever they come to us with a potential Civil Litigation case. His main role is to unearth all the facts and discover whether there are grounds to take legal action.
Jack enjoys the challenge of working in a client-facing environment and assessing the strength of a potential case is one of his main strengths.
In the instances where legal action may not be necessary or is not a cost-effective option to take, he often signposts people to the other available options to maintain hopes of a resolution and ensure realistic expectations are set.
Jack’s long-term career aim is to become a Solicitor and he is on course to qualify from his Law Degree studies at Sunderland University in June 2025.
Away from work
Born and raised in Sunderland, Jack enjoys going for meals and drinks with his friends and family. When he’s not busy studying for his degree, Jack likes to wind down by playing games online or spending time at the gym.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
Listening to music and going to gigs is a big part of my life. I really like Oasis and indie music and the best gig I’ve been to is Liam Gallagher at Knebworth in 2022.
What’s your favourite food?
They may have originally came from Middlesbrough but I am a big fan of Parmos, which consists of a breaded chicken base topped with sauce and cheese – so a bit like a pizza minus the bread.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
It would have to be Rome because of its stunning architecture and history.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
I really like the Sons of Anarchy, which is a show about an outlaw motorcycle club who grow increasingly lawless because I do enjoy that sort of gangster genre.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
I love Lord of The Rings and usually go for something from the medieval history or fantasy genre.
Is there a smartphone App you could not live without?
YouTube – I’m a massive fan of watching the latest content and keeping up to date with every day life.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Confident, determined, patient, friendly and perceptive.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Keep on doing what you are doing because everything will work out in the end.
