Hannah Entwistle
Associate Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Hannah is passionate about helping people and enjoys working in our Clinical Negligence department because of the freedom she is given to pursue an eclectic mix of cases. Hannah enjoys building a rapport with her clients and supports them throughout the process of their claim.
Having achieved a Philosophy degree from Cardiff University in 2010, she returned to study Law following a spell working as a Law Costs Draftsman. She graduated from Northumbria University with a Distinction in 2013. Hannah subsequently undertook her training contract at a large, Legal 500 firm in Newcastle.
Since qualifying as a Solicitor in March 2017, Hannah has worked on a wide assortment of cases and has successfully secured settlements ranging upwards of six figures, earning a well-deserved promotion to Associate in 2024.
Away from work
Originally from Buckinghamshire, Hannah now lives in Washington with her husband and enjoys being right at the heart of everything good that the North East has to offer.
What are your main interests or hobbies?
I enjoy running, swimming and going to the gym, although I don’t go as much as I would like! I also love to go for long walks, either at the coast or in the countryside, with my husband and our dog, Floki, who is a Rough Collie.
I’m also a Grade Six pianist and recently started to play again, after many years away, so that is slowly coming back to me and provides me with a nice way to relax.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I love music and I will listen to pretty much anything, but I mainly enjoy rock, indie or classical. A few artists I like are Biffy Clyro, Sam Fender, ELO, Bon Iver and Ludovico Einaudi. Taylor Swift is my guilty pleasure. Quite varied really!
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Empathetic, hardworking, loyal, organised and friendly.
What’s your favourite food?
I’m a bit of a foodie so I love to cook and really enjoy eating out. My all-time favourite food is a good cheeseboard (preferably with a glass of red!), but I do love Indian food too, particularly my Dad’s old recipes.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
I am actually part of an online book club with my friends from back home. We started in the first Lockdown, and I really enjoy it as I get to read quite a wide range of writers and genres. My favourite reads so far would be either American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, or Circe by Madeline Miller.
