Do you have a favourite book and why?
Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart is one of my favourite books as it’s the one which reignited my passion for reading. I also like Giovanni’s Room, a 1950s novel by James Baldwin about the life of a gay American man living in Paris and how he explores his feelings and sexuality.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Berlin is the one place where I always love to visit because it’s a very historic city that has amazing scenery and is packed with culture.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I love listening to HyperPop, a sort of cross between pop, hip-hop, and electronic dance music. My favourite artist is Kim Petras but I also adores Harry Styles, who I have seen twice in concert at Edinburgh and Manchester.
What’s your favourite food?
I must admit I’m a bit of a ‘foodie’ so I enjoy loads of different styles of cuisine – including Italian and Spanish tapas. But I am a sucker for a really nice Greek and I love a delicious homemade Hummus.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
The horror genre is something I enjoy and I’d recommend The Conjuring movie series, which has now made eight different films. If you want to watch something lighter that’s full of fun and laughs, you can’t beat Ru Paul’s Drag Race. I love getting to see the other side of the artists and you realise how multi-talented some of them are.
What is your favourite colour?
I must admit that I do tend to veer towards warmer tones like orange and yellow.
Which smartphone App could you not live without?
I would have to say Instagram as I love seeing what my friends are up to.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Adaptable, ambitious, empathetic, loyal and personable.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Be kinder to yourself – you don’t always need to be your harshest critic.
