Assessing the best way to help you
Once the initial meeting has finished, we will go away to review your case further and determine how we can help.
We usually get in touch within 7 days to confirm whether we can assist you and explain our terms. Sometimes it takes longer than 7 days if there are complexities to consider, but we will endeavour to keep you informed about any expected timescales.
Where we have the resource, capacity and expertise to deal with your matter; we will call you to discuss this and set out a brief outline of the costs involved. If you would like to go ahead, you will receive further paperwork to review and terms to agree before we can proceed with the instruction.
If we can take on your case and you choose to instruct us, we will outline the terms upon which the matter will be conducted. There is no obligation on either party to proceed with any work unless and until terms are agreed.

Complete clarity about costs
Until you sign a client agreement with us, you are free to seek advice from another firm of solicitors during this time or at any stage.
We will not start any work on your behalf unless and until terms and engagement are agreed. There will be no charges due to you for any meetings, phone calls or correspondence carried out to date.
Once terms have been agreed, we will agree a proposed timescales for completion of the work at that stage. As a registered commercial solicitor, our current hourly rate for Civil Litigation matters is £271 + VAT.
