Clinical Negligence Paralegal
Since graduating with an MLaw Degree from Northumbria University in 2023, Tong gained valuable experience at another North East law firm before joining our Clinical Negligence team. She assists with initial case documentation and engagement letters, but client interviews are her favourite aspect of the job as she truly enjoys listening to clients and helping to resolve their issues.
Tong, who is fluent in Cantonese, is committed to expanding her legal knowledge and aims to secure a training contract to qualify as a solicitor. Her dedication to learning and her enthusiasm for client interaction make her a key part of our team.
Away from work
Originally from Driffield in East Yorkshire, Tong has been living in the North East for the past five years since moving here for university. In her free time, she enjoys meeting up with friends and relaxing. Tong is also enthusiastic about developing her crochet skills and is currently working on creating her first hat.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I’m quite into Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, but I do like listening to most pop music or indie bands.
What’s your favourite food?
Any seafood – although crab is probably my favourite.
What TV show or box set would you recommend to others?
Desperate Housewives is my guilty pleasure but I do like watching true crime documentaries and podcasts. I find them fascinating.
What is your favourite film?
Gone Girl, a psychological thriller about a man who is the prime suspect in his wife’s mysterious disappearance – which she has orchestrated to frame him for murder.
What famous person would you most like to meet?
Matthew Gray Gubler, who portrays the character Dr Spencer Reid, a brilliant FBI profiler and criminal psychologist in Criminal Minds.
Is there a smartphone App you could not live without?
I do like to have a bit of an aimless scroll on TikTok – because I always find something entertaining or fun to watch.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Organised, bubbly, friendly, outgoing and reliable.
